After watching The September Issue, the documentary of Anna Wintour and her leadership of the september issue of Vogue two years ago (2009); reading the whole September Vogue issue (2009); watching the MTV Video Music awards (2009) and reading its fashion commentary thereafter, I was super excited to see and compare what the local Williamsburg, Brooklyn had to say for it’s styles. While I am totally against underground ideas becoming mainstream (i like underground enough), the bright green and pink flyers did their job and so I ended up seeing one of the best shows ever at the Williamsburg Fashion Festival this past weekend. Here are some highlights below. Feel free to comment posies and of course, feel super to mix the 1950s underwear offered by NinkyBink with a dress from Sodafine, a blazer from Netti Tiso and heels, well, from a thrift shop.

Style is more about being yourself.”
