Print Mixology

Matching patterns is a gift from God.  I swear it's like night and day; sometimes things can be complete opposites but so complimentary, and when you do it right, damn, it's good.  There were two New York Times articles today that talked about mixing matchable patterns.  It's about time we learn how to do it right.  Throw in dots!

"Toss in some polka dots, stripes or even leopard prints, 

which are easier to mix with other patterns because they're simple and graphic.  

And they're familiar to the eye."
